Silly me...
Last fall I saw some Christmas tree seeds in a package and thought, why not? I'll plant myself a Christmas tree. I planted three seeds thinking I would be lucky if one of them grew. All three germinated. It took awhile for them to sprout but one day, there they were. I'm not sure how long it takes for them to grow and am now thinking I'm not so young that I can wait.

Stormy Day...
Shirley and I went to the beach yesterday. We got out of the car to take some pictures and I attempted to walk as far as the boardwalk took me. It felt good to feel the cold, damp air on my face and I got a bunch of pictures that were quite striking. Maybe we don't always need sunshine and blue skies.

Grandma in Waiting...
You've heard of mothers-in-waiting. I am a grandma-in-waiting. I think that might be worse. And as I wait, I keep my fingers busy knitting and crocheting small, hopefully useful things for the little girl about to arrive. Ginny's baby blanket is a rainbow or as they say in the world of art, roy g biv.

Point of Rocks...
What a beautiful day! Tommy and I took a spin around Brewster just enjoying the sunshine, puffy clouds, and clean air. We went to two beaches. This is Point of Rocks, a little known beach on a side road. There is room for two cars to park so its no surprise that you never see anyone here. Its still early in the year; soon we will have daffodils and tourists clogging up our roads...but not today.

A Long Winter's Nap...
I have been taking a long winter's nap. Actually I had a new knee installed this month and it has taken me awhile to take an interest in anything.
Sister Sandie and her husband Jerry sent me these beautiful flowers this morning. I woke up.
