Tommy and I went off on tour today. It was a cold, clear day and a wool sweater was plenty to keep me warm. This is Coleman Farm over by Bondville.
About a mile down the dirt road from the farm is Gale Meadow Conservation Area. This lake was formed in the early 50's as part of the flood control program. You can see the bottom in spots and there are stone walls and old foundations visible from our canoe. Also, this is a great place for a walk. The trails around it are clearly marked. The earth is soft beneath your feet and the aroma of pine surrounds you.
